ABSTRACT
This workshop will explore how the
acceptance of anonymous surfing and Tor in communications has
changed the way investigators look for browsing and IP address
evidence. It will begin by explaining how these technologies are
currently used and then move on to a demonstration of several of
programs with the intention of fostering discussion on the use
of these programs as they become more main stream. It will then
demonstrate some of the programs, evidence of remnants and
encourage discussion on the best way to find evidence when these
types of programs are used. Finally, it will conclude with
discussion of some best practices for finding and tracking
evidence when these programs and method are used.
